Minor Reaching Majority

In case of a minor reaching majority, the Guardian would have to submit the following documents:

  • A letter from the guardian requesting for the change in the minority status of the Unitholder. Download letter format here. (DOC,<200k)

  • PAN card copy

  • KYC (Investment of any value)

  • Bank Mandate of Minor

*All certified copies are to be:
  • Attested by a gazetted officer; or a practising Chartered Accountant or Advocate;

  • Letter should also be duly signed by minor who has turned major along with his Bank details. The signatures need to be attested as mentioned below

  • Attested by the manager of a bank where the Unitholder maintains an account, specifying the manager's bank identification number; or

  • Notarised by a Notary Public. (Note: A power of attorney is always to be notarised by a notary public.)
Note: In case the Power of Attorney is supplied by the Unitholder, it may be accepted in case it is substantially in accordance with the format provided.  Download here. (DOC,200k)

Please note that all documents are to be executed on plain paper. Wherever stated so specifically, documents are to be executed on non-judicial stamp paper of the stated denomination. After completion, the required document should be submitted to any of our Investor Service Centres for resolution.
