Investment Focus

Stocks of companies are usually categorised as large-cap, midcap, and small-cap depending on their market capitalisation. History has demonstrated that these categories tend to perform differently through economic and market cycles. For example, mid or small cap stocks could move up sharply during a certain time period while large cap stocks remain range bound and vice versa. On the other hand, large-cap stocks tend to be less volatile than mid & small-cap stocks on account of factors such as size, market leadership..etc. Moreover, such periods of outperformance are typically followed by a consolidation phase and a possible reversal of the situation. In order to derive optimal returns from the stock markets, investments need to be diversified and have flexibility to shift allocations across market caps.

Designed to help you achieve this with a single investment is Franklin India Flexi Cap Fund (FIFCF). An open-end diversified equity fund, FIFCF seeks to provide medium to long-term capital appreciation by investing in stocks across the entire market capitalization range.
