Introduction

Making investments to achieve your financial dreams is a multi-stage process that includes making an asset allocation decision based on the risk profile and then choosing the right investment options. Please click here to determine your asset allocation.

However market movements often make a carefully drawn out asset allocation plan go haywire. For instance, if your ideal allocation were 65:35 to equity and fixed income respectively, an appreciation of 60% in equities and 6% in fixed income can result in the asset allocation changing to 74:26, exposing you to a higher risk. Conversely, a fall in the stock markets can reduce your equity allocation, making you lose out on future growth opportunities.

To revert to your steady state asset allocation, you could rebalance your portfolio, but that would require time and effort, and may not always be efficient from a taxation perspective.

Designed to take care of the complete investment process - from asset allocation to disciplined rebalancing, and providing a simple investment solution is FT India Life Stage Fund of Funds (FTLF).
