 Investment Focus

TIGF is an open-end equity fund that invests primarily in the equity market with the objective of providing long-term capital appreciation towards meeting your long-term financial needs like a comfortable retired life or children's education.

Investment Strategy

The fund adopts a disciplined yet flexible long-term approach to investing with a focus of generating above-average returns in the long-term with below than average risk. Templeton's widely known philosophy of "value investing", where the focus is to seek out securities with the most promising potential for long-term growth rather than look at hot markets or day-to-day trends is practiced by the fund managers. They follow the bottom-up approach to identify bargain stocks. This involves intensive company visits and research to arrive at an intrinsic value of the company from a five year horizon. Those stocks, that Templeton believes are selling at the greatest discount to their five year potential, make it to the portfolio.
