Investment Focus

FIF is India's first fund dedicated to the fast growing information technology sector.

The infotech sector in India has huge growth potential because of various advantages like a large pool of English speaking skilled manpower and low skill-to-cost ratio. Most of the topline infotech companies in India have utilised the recent slump in global technology sector to restructure their operations and have moved up the value chain by offering services such as systems integration, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and consulting. This augurs well for the whole sector.

We feel that the recent slump in the stock prices of IT companies is short term in nature and we continue to be confident of the medium to long term prospects of our portfolio. Indian companies which have benefited from the "offshoring" trend in the global markets are ideally positioned to take advantage of any upturn in the global IT spending. Our confidence stems from the fact that all the holdings in our portfolio have strong fundamentals and have advantages in terms of  -

  • Diversified client base

  • Diversified domain expertise

  • Ability to provide end-to-end solutions

  • Strong client relationships

  • Extensive marketing network
