Procedure to Change the Guardian for Minor Accounts
Changing the guardian for a minor account while the existing guardian is alive.
Below are the documents required to process the change of guardian for a minor account.
- Request for change in Guardian of Minor Unitholder. Attached is the form for reference. Change in guardian of minor.pdf
- No Objection Letter (NOC) or Consent Letter from the existing guardian or Court Order for new guardian, in case the existing guardian is alive.
- AMCs shall mandatorily obtain information on the relationship/status of the guardian as father, mother or legal guardian in the application form.
- Copy of birth certificate / passport / School leaving certificate / Mark sheet issued by Higher Secondary Board of respective states, ICSE, CBSE, etc. as guardianship proof.
- In case of court appointed legal guardian, supporting documentary evidence shall be obtained.
- Banker NISM attestation attesting the signature of the new guardian in a bank account of the minor Bank Attestation.pdf
- KYC acknowledgement copy and FATCA/CRS Declaration Form from new guardian.
- Copy of Self-attested PAN card from the new guardian.
