Invest in your resolve to achieve your goals
Dipa Karmakar achieved what no Indian athlete has ever achieved when she flew in the finals of the vault at the Olympics 2016. She is the first Indian female gymnast ever to compete in the Olympics and the first Indian gymnast to do so in 52 years. Additionally, she is only the one of five women who has successfully landed the Produnova, the most difficult vault currently performed in women’s gymnastics.
Though with a history of medal winning performances in the 2011 National Games of India and the 2014 Commonwealth Games, her 4th position in the finals at the Olympics was not what the nation was rooting for, it was an international achievement nonetheless.
Many would wonder, “How did a girl hailing from small town Agartala in Tripura achieve so much at such a young age? “
She did so by investing time and effort in her talent from a very young age; from the age of six to be precise, and by practicing consistently despite her natural limitations. Born flat footed, a curse for gymnast hopefuls, Karmakar defeated the defect of nature by continuously practicing till she developed an arch and perfected her skills with the result for the world to see.
Desire for any profits, in life or finance, requires consistent investment. If a life goal or financial goal is recognized, it helps to begin working on it early. Investing in Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) every month could lead to better gains and the earlier you start the better. It does not matter what your financial limitations and means are, investments in SIPs can be done with as little as Rs. 500 per month and in the long run the result will be there for the world to see.
