There is nothing instant about success in Life and Investments
Deshun Wang is an actor known for his performance in the movie - The Forbidden Kingdom. But he came into the limelight when he walked the ramp in 2015 for the China Fashion Week. He was 79 years old then but looked much younger and dapper.
His feat earned him the tag of “instant internet sensation”, to which he says “To prepare for this day, I have been getting ready for 60 years.” At a time when most men and women lead a retired sedentary life, Wang was pumping iron at the gymnasium and coming into his own as an actor.
Wang started out as a theatre actor but started learning English only at the age of 44. Aged 49, he started his own pantomime troupe and started going to the gymnasium when he was 50. Seven years later, he created the only form of performance art called 'living sculpture performance'. By continuously and consistently preparing himself over the years, Wang eventually achieved success in theatre and movies. There was little that was "instant" about his success.
Behind every success is years of hard work and perseverance. Their achievements are a result of consistent efforts put in over a long period of time, which eventually bear fruit one day. However, to the world outside, the day these people achieve success may appear instant.
Similarly, people investing small amounts of money consistently over a long period of time may appear successful to many when their consistent efforts and perseverance pays good dividends. But returns from investments are hardly ever instant. Like years of continuous and consistent preparedness allowed Wang to eventually become successful and healthy, investment in SIPs allows you to invest consistently and continuously over a period of time with an aim to get good returns and wealthy one day.
